I NEED (I mean really really want) TO KNOW

I do not know how they did it in the good old days like when I was born- my parents had no idea if I was a boy or a girl- they had 2 names ready and I came home to a yellow and green nursery. This is me about 28 years ago getting my first bath from my mom's mom, My Grandma Lemm.
In a few days I am scheduled to have an ultrasound and I am really hoping baby is going to cooperate. I have no preference on the gender, having one of each is such a blessing and I am prepared with nursery bedding and baby clothes either way. Makenzie wanted a sister but has changed her mind to wanting it to be a healthy baby (such a sweet hearted girl!) Every time I ask Alex he says it is a sissy but I guess he doesn't really know what a brother is. I feel like it is a girl and Bryan had a dream it was a girl, so we shall see if our family instincts are right.

Welcome to the future nursery- right now it is the playroom and is painted sea green- walls, trim, doors and even the ceiling...green. This was a media room for the people who built this house and the closet is very small and only has shelves. This room has served us wonderfully as a playroom and has also allowed us to accumulate a TON of toys!! It is time to organize!!! One of my favorite things to do- but this project seems very overwhelming!! I can not wait to start painting!!! Paint can do so much for a room but I have a dilemma-
Makenzie's room is pink and Alex's room is blue and I really don't want another pink or blue room I just want to get rid of the sea green!!!
Alex got big boy bedding for his birthday but now we need to find him a big boy bed and with all the furniture stores in Abilene closing this is very difficult! I feel like I have a million things to do but am on hold until we find out the gender. I need to:
-paint the nursery
-add a clothes rod in the closet
-move the baby furniture
-set up the crib bedding
-decorate the walls
-find a window treatment
-go through tubs
-decide on a name
-paint letters
-set up Alex's big boy room
-find a place for or get rid of toys
If baby is a boy, him and Alex could eventually share a room. This house is really built for 2 children so we will probably have to add on a bathroom or something eventually! I really don't want to move but we will have to see how things are going in a couple of years. It might be fun to design and build a house someday... sounds like a lot of decisions- we will see what the future holds!
Bye Friends,
